Hola, I’m Sofia, an artist, illustrator and printmaker from Mexico, based in Lake Atitlán, Guatemala.

I capture the mundane and the stories of the people around me in photographs, digital illustrations, and ink. The three volcanos that surround me inspire me to look beyond the human form.

Throughout the years, I've worked with graphite, clay, ink, and -most recently- digital tools. My goal is to learn to merge the two, and to find the thin line between the old and the new, -with a drop of analog whimsy along the way.
